Terms and Conditions

Definitions

The person who signs the booking form shall be known as The Hirer. 

COMPLETION OF THE BOOKING FORM AND/OR PAYMENT IS DEEMED AS ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS.

General Booking Conditions

1.  The hirer of the caravan must be 24 or older, however this remains at the discretion of the owner and, dependent on circumstances, the hirer maybe of a younger age, but no younger than 21 years. The hirer must remain present during the occupancy period of the caravan.

2. Caravan hire is only to families and responsible couples.  Mixed adult groups under 25 are permitted at the owner's discretion.

3. The Hirer is responsible for the booking form, by signing warrants that the party is as stated on the booking form.

4. ALL changes to a booking are only allowed by prior agreement with the Caravan Owners and confirmed in writing/e-mail by the Caravan Owners.

5. The Hirer is responsible for the conduct of all persons listed on the Booking Form as well as any additional guests and visitors.

6. The Hirer agrees that the details of persons listed on the Booking Form shall be registered with the Caravan Owners and Haven Holidays Caravan hire.

7. Each person listed on the Booking Form and guests and visitors must be prepared to identify themselves to the Caravan Owners and Haven Holidays or their staff upon request and comply with their reasonable requirements.

8. The Hirer shall notify the Caravan Owners in writing/e-mail; any changes to people listed on the Booking form at the earliest possible opportunity and in any event, not less than 7 days of commencement of the booking.

9. The Hirer must give access to the Caravan if reasonably required by the Caravan Owners, Haven Holidays, their Staff or Agents.

10. The Caravan Owners reserve the right to refuse any booking without any obligation to give a reason.

Deposits and Payments

11. A provisional booking made via telephone, in person, post or e-mail will remain firm for a period of seven days in which time a booking form and deposit of £75 deposit must be returned. The deposit is non-refundable in the event ofCaravan hire cancellation, unless terminated by the caravan owners.

12.  Outstanding balance payments must be received no later than 42 days prior to the holiday arrival date. If a booking is made within 42 days of the start of your holiday payments must be made in full at the time of booking.

13.  A £75 security deposit will be added to the balance payment and will be returned within 14 days following your departure should the caravan be deemed clean and tidy to an acceptable level and free of damage. You must notify the caravan owner immediately of any damage caused during your stay. This security deposit remains at the discretion of the owner.

14. In the case of the balance not being paid by the due date, the Caravan Owners reserve the right to re-let the Caravan without making refund of any of the Booking Deposit.

15. The Caravan Owners reserve the right to withhold some or the entire bond and or to bill The Hirer for the additional cost of: (1) replacing or repairing ALL damage, (2) all breakages, (3) charge for cleaning the caravan, (4) cost of removing stains or replacing as new. ALL BREAKAGES, DAMAGE AND STAINS TO THE CARAVAN MUST BE PAID FOR.  The Hirer must inform the Caravan owners within 24 hours of arrival; All defects, Inventory shortages and/or breakages etc. Failure will result in you being responsible and your bond being withheld.

Cancellations

16. In the event of a Cancellation for caravan hire, the Hirer must confirm this in writing, upon receipt. Caravan Owners will refund £75 Bond + the balance if paid (Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation). Should a cancellation be made prior to payment of the full balance, only the deposit sum of £75 will be forfeited. If a cancellation is made after the full balance has been paid, 60% of the total hire charge will be payable. If less than 7 days notice of cancellation is received, then the total caravan hire charge will be payable. This remains entirely at the discretion of the caravan owner.

17. No refund will be made for caravan hire to the hirer whose hiring has commenced and who vacates the caravan for any reason including an emergency at home etc.

Caravan Handover

18. The Caravan may be occupied from 2pm onwards on the first day of hiring.  The Caravan MUST be vacated by 10am on the last date of hiring, - keys returned to reception, or unless otherwise specified.

19. The Hirer shall be informed where to collect/return caravan keys prior to take.  Keys will not be issued after 4.30pm except by prior arrangement with the Caravan Owners.

20. In the case of any maintenance problems, The Hirer should contact the Caravan Owners, NOT Reception. DIY repairs MUST NOT be attempted. 

21.  The caravan is 6 berth and at no time must be exceeded.

22.  For hygiene reasons, strictly NO PETS allowed under any circumstances. If you are found with a pet you will be asked to leave without any refund, in addition you will be sent a bill for a full spring clean of the caravan.

23.  Strictly NO SMOKING inside caravan. If you are found to be smoking you will be sent a bill for a full spring clean of the caravan.

24.  Please remove all dirty footwear on entering the caravan.

25.  The maximum hire period allowed is 28 days.

26.  The area surrounding the hire caravan must be kept clean and tidy at all times.

27.  Clothes are to be dried on the airer provided, at no time are they to be dried over heaters. Clothes lines are not to be erected.

28.  Do not disarm smoke alarms. Press hush panel located on the alarms themselves should they be activated during cooking activity.

29.  All electrical and domestic goods, including boiler, must be switched off upon leaving the van.

30.  Duvets and pillows are provided, however sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers and other linen items such as towels, tea towels and wash cloths are not provided.

31.  Only one car place is available next to Caravan. Use designated overflow car parks provided by the park if necessary.

32.  Personal travel insurance is not included in the cost of your holiday and, if required, remains the responsibility of the occupants. We the owners will not be liable for any injury or death, loss or damage to personal property including motor vehicles whether malicious or accidental during your stay.

33.  Haven Haggercston Castle Caravan hire Park rules apply.

If you are asked to vacate the caravan site, by Haven Holidays or their staff, for any reasons whatsoever, the Caravan Owners shall not refund any money paid.

These terms and conditions relate to the private caravan hire at 27 Carnoustie, Haggerston Castle Caravan hire and we reserve the right to amend these terms, conditions and policies without prior notification.
