We went to Haggerston Castle in Sept 2008 and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. We took our 2yr old and our 7 month baby and our friends took their children both of similar ages to mine and we all had a great time. The accommodation was excellent. It was very clean and even when we had to call the out of hours help as we had a leak under our sink the staff were very friendly and sorted the problem out within half an hour. Overall a great family holiday and we will definately be going back.

Last summer we spent a week at Haggerston Castle Haven site with our one year old son. Very sceptical as we have always enjoyed traditional camping holidays in our tent on quiet country sites so was initially worried about such a lively venue but we all had a wonderful time. Even though he was only one our son absolutley adored everything. The staff were extremely helpful - there within 5 minutes when we rang at 5.45am on the first morning when our son had woken us up and we realised there was no gas to heat the caravan (initally 2 cold mornings due to weather) promptly changed gas bottles and showed us how to use the heating - very friendly given the ridiculous hour of the morning!
Our son was a little frightened of the large characters initially but the staff were great at helping him overcome his inital shock and when they started to tickle mummy and daddy etc and he was soon won round- very impressed with this as have seen children scared by these larger than life characters and just ignored and left to cry in theme parks etc.
Accommodation was excellent, site facilities were wonderful, pools brilliant. Food a little expensive in some of the outlets but as we'd gone self catering they were ok for treats.
Planning to go again this year along with grandma and grandad. Would highly recommend.

I grew up going to Haggerston Castle. I have taken my 4 year old twins to Berwick, Haggerston. Craig tara and Hafan y mor. The last two parks are great as they do half board. So it really is a holiday for mum. No cooking or washing dishes. And haven do say "lifes more fun when you play together. I book in january to get max discounts.
